I received a Uni offer today for Biomedical science and it's something which I can do. However I need career development and I'm not so confident I will find it working as a laboratory scientist and the general roles related to the lab. It will most likely be with the NHS and career development will be slow. Then there are apprenticeships. There's no huge 30 year debt. You're not really at risk of failing and wasting every thing and I'm almost guaranteed a job at the end. But would I be able to advance onto new companies with the qualification I received in an apprenticeship which is likely to be focused on one company? I'm looking at the business side of things in an apprenticeship. What roles are available here? Would I be able to advance onto other companies with experience alone on my CV? Is there anything that can tie me down to a group or one company?
Uni or Apprenticeship? :/

Have you looked into tge companies who offer these apprenticeships and the qualifications they offer? From there, it should tell you what career options you have.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
