    Aiming for straight A's.

History - Going fairly well. Started hardcore revision in February. Finished Russia by early March and I'll be finished with England in about 6 days or so. That'll give me ample time to do extra extra revision and to do a load more past papers. Been working hard and improved from my C in my December mock to mostly A's in the essay questions I do now.

Government and Politics - Also going well. Gone over in extreme detail 2 of the 4 sections for Unit 1 (you only get tested on 2), and 3 of the 4 for Unit 2 (you get asked on all 4). G & P is probably my strongest subject. Been getting high A's in my past papers and mocks. Recently got 40/40 on a Unit 2 question. Will be finished with Unit 2 and a third section of Unit 1 by the end of March.

Literature - My weakest subject. Only scraped one A so far. But I'm improving. I'll have to do a load of essays to get up to scratch though.

BTEC Law - Easy UCAS points, all coursework, no need for revision. Guaranteed Distinction.

Overall it's going well. I'm very pleased I started revision so early.
For history, you've finished the note-taking?

    Hi,

What stage are you at in your revision and what grades are you aiming for?
Just out of interest, 'revision' doesn't constitute making notes right, revision is only memorizing the notes and doing past papers?

    Best of luck guys!
I am finishing all the content for all o my subjects by 3rd April am doing exam practice here and there but 4th - 30th April will be fully focused on exam practice.
I am getting A/B grades now in class and am so happy because in january i got CCCU in my mocks and now i've received AABB so am improving slowly but steadily! I am aiming for AAAA by the end of the year as well but my main issue is that i lack in confidence and that is when i procrastinate because i feel as though everyone else has started revising in september or something but i at the end of the day you are only ever in competition with yourself no one else

You can still get 4 A's just push yourself and remember that you ARE capable! A levels are all about hard work! You got this

Yeah I'm self teaching further maths AS last minute haha I definitely think D1 is much easier, it's really simple.

And that's a good method, I don't actually even do past papers as odd as it sounds :|

But no not medicine haha, I've applied for Natural Sciences so I'll just do all the sciences combined at uni

I don't do note-taking; I read the book, memorise it, and do essays. Done essays on every one of the chapters, and on occasion redone them when necessary. I don't take notes because I find it's a waste of time; I remember information much better by going through it and organising and configuring it in my own special way. Besides, you won't have notes in the exam; you need to be able to recall it all without any external prompt, which I'm doing.

So I've read through the entirety of the Russia book and half of the England book. Having a pretty good memory helps, I suppose. I did take notes for a Politics section once, and consequently I had instant mental access to 3,000 words on the topic. But I think that's really excessive, so I don't do note-taking as revision often.

English Language Literature (Aiming for an A/A*)= My teacher has very nicely decided to go away because she's going to have an operation. So me and my class don't have anything from her for about a month. My other teacher is going through the Crucible with us atm and so I've started reading up notes on the Crucible and examiner reports from past English Lang Lit questions.

History (Aiming for an A)- Is going pretty well tbh. I did notes over Christmas and memorised some useful bits and bobs for England. I've started giving in essays to my teacher to mark. I always seem to be 2 marks off an A or something smh. If that happens in the real exam I will cry. Starting to read up on Russia and atm am making a mindmap on Bloody Sunday.

Business(Aiming for an A)- I started reading up on Business pretty much from September onwards. I've remembered a lot of the content but I'm going over stuff I'm weak on by making mindmaps. Once I've learnt the content I'm going to ask my teacher for exam questions

Accounting (Aiming for a B)- This has got to be the subject I hate with a passion. I've avoided revising it since September but since I haven't got long left and I don't want to get a U in the subject, I've started doing open book past papers. Hopefully I'll somehow scrape a B in the subject then I can drop it and burn my Accounting notes.
