Civil - anything that isn't crime.

Start with Magistrates then work through the structure to Higher Courts as the case progresses from first instance.

Some civil claims start in the High Court for first instance due to various reasons, list them. Don't forget the different divisions and the function of the Privy Council.

Talk about the appellate courts, fast track, and multitrack cases, and how a case can "skip" from magistrates to higher courts. Don't forget about the overriding objective and the importance of keeping costs low.

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
