I finally finished the last assignment for a BTEC HNC (thinking of continuing to HND) that I am doing online and I would like to hear feedback from other students on the level of support they receive.
Obviously if you attend a classroom your feedback would be different and not applicable, so online students only please!

Basically I would get the unit assignment brief with a list of bullet points to cover and with the words count range. Then there would be a list of random pdf/documents online related to the unit in no particular order.

The tutor was pretty much useless. When asking for insight I would be told to google it and only get some random feedback on the draft paper submission (one off) not much else. No other students forum/support.

Is it really how it is meant to be? I admit this is my first HNC in the UK, I did study online in the past but abroad (English speaking country) and the experience was totally different and a pleasure.

The unit would be introduced with a structure supporting the assignment brief, the tutor would respond coherently and provide pointers to questions that was better than 'just google it' and indeed other students forum/online interaction.

I am considering continue the HND and can put up with another year of this, that's fine though I don't believe it is the most efficient way of learning and I feel as I could have learned more if there was more support.

Though I am questioning whether I have distorted expectations (fine) or it's only that school and so I could continue the HND elsewhere...

    thoughts and thanks!
