Do you guys think it would be a good idea to go for Raleigh Park if my main campus is University Park?
If that's where you want to be, then go for it. I know there is a free hopper bus from Jubilee (which I think is fairly close to Raleigh) to University Park, and there will be plenty of public transport too so getting to campus shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, because I figured broadgate would still be the same distance away if you look at where the main buildings are. Thank you

No problem, I went with Broadgate cause I liked it best and it's fairly close to everywhere I need to be, but it's really just personal choice. The bus from Jubilee to University Park goes the whole way through the campus too so you just get off at the bus stop closest to where you need to be.

How close was broadgate to the lecture buildings?

I've heard that broadgate is a bit of a hit and miss which is why I was considering Raleigh, that and it's a bit more expensive.

About a 10-15 minute walk from what I remember (at least to the law buildings/Hallward Library), I'm not so sure to any other buildings. It's also only about a 20 minute cycle to the boathouse which is where I'll be spending a lot of time. It is more expensive than Raleigh and St Peters Court, but since one way or another my maintenance loan won't cover my accommodation, my parents said they wouldn't mind paying a little extra for Broadgate since I preferred it.

If you've only just firmed Nottingham it might not have gone through yet - wait a day or two and it might work.

    Hi,
I have an offer to do Mechanical Engineering (based on University Park Campus). I'm confused about which self catered accommodation to choose - it seems like all have mixed reviews. Does anyone have any advice, especially about Broadgate, Raleigh Park and St Peter's Court? I know St Peter's Court has a free bus service but does anyone know whether it's reliable? Although Broadgate is closest to campus it seems like it'd still be a walk to the main buildings.
    Thanks

    Hi NananaBanana

Broadgate to Mech Eng is about a 20 minute walk straight through campus. Have a look at Google Maps and it will show you the route. Very straight forward and we are definitely the closest of the self-catered sites.

    Thanks,Brendan at Broadgate Park

Well, I've got ensuite in Cavendish, which I'm pleased about! I'm doing History, and it's right next door to the department building and not too far from the library. Does anyone know if I'll have to walk across to the other side of University Park for some lectures, though?
