This is me so much, I have loads of friends who really go to every effort to keep contact, but it's because they see me completely as the first guy.

The only person I am happy around all the time aside from family members is my girl.

I know I am able to force it enough to keep up face for employment, but certainly I don't believe I will ever have any true male friends, even if I usually do end up getting a LAD crew together.
Same here. I am only comfortable being around my partner all the time really. Other people tire me out so much.

I was thinking about this today as I realised it could always be something which holds me back in my chosen career path, where I have seen that networking is hugely important. I want to go into writing/editorial, and am doing an internship right now. Everyone is so friendly, wants to go out for lunch and have drinks after work. I just want to eat alone and go home after, maybe read in bed or watch a movie.

I am the exact same. Are you a scorpio?
    No, cancer.

For more background info I was an only child and did actually suffer from anorexia between the age of 14-18. I am now 24, have a wonderful partner who has been my best friend for almost five years and he tells me I'm beautiful all the time. I have strong ambitions and a good degree.

    I just don't get it.

For me I'm a 20 year old male. Sometimes i will lead, sometimes i need my own time to myself. When i need my own time, i don't want to talk to anyone.

Sometimes I feel bipolar in terms of personality.

I'm either really bubbly, alpha, a leader, the person who initiates and closes decisions, enthusiastic, friendly, open... When in this mode I am confident and can easily do public speaking, make people laugh and make friends/impress people in interviews.

    OR

Shy (which can be perceived as snobbery), quiet, feel excluded from conversations/as if I push myself out by feeling inadequate, drained in the presence of people. When in this mode, I don't want to see people, turn down or cancel invitations to socialise, feel nauseous when talking to people.

What is with this? In the end I am the same, just more or less driven, more or less social, but it does seem extreme and unpredictable.
    I agree

I dont know the answer as of yet xD

Seems a lot of people are the same. Is everyone like this, or is an online forum just a good place for similar people to amalgamate?
