not really. from what I've read it's got better apart from the civil war. bashar al-assad's father hafez (assad the first) was almost as bad as saddam
and even if it "wasn't as bad", is that really a significant fact here? it was still a dictatorship back then and it's still one today
I'm talking about bashar, not the father himself. Syria wasn't perfect but it was a beautiful, calm place to be before this civil war erupted.

You're not a laughing stock. People laugh with you not at you. I've not met anyone in this virtual world who has a bad thing to say about you.

Also do you know why ivybridge got banned?

Russia, or Resdayn (pre-imperial Morrowind)... I've been playing that game a bit too much recently.

I'm quite stern when it comes to utilitarianism and common sense, like Russia is when it comes to dealing with Jihadis - they hit those savages hard. I'm no xenophobe, I'm cool with people being foreign and having foreign ideas, but I hate outlanders interfering in my country's affairs. As Whorace said, Russia has a really nice culture hiding behind the mask of hostility. I suppose I'm a bit like that, cold and seemingly hostile when I first meet people but I warm up to them later. I don't claim to be nice though, after all that term's subjective so who can?

It depresses me that I'll never be a Dunmer living in Vvardenfel, in my own mushroom house. Well before Red Mountain erupts anyway

Ah a fellow Telvanni! And yea, it'd really suck to have a beautiful Telvanni tower destroyed, though tbh the vanilla Tel Uvirith is kinda weak. But if I could have a tower in Port Telvannis... that'd be so cool!
