Does anyone else live near a school that routinely emits a high pitched noise on weekends? I moved to behind a school a few months ago but this noise has only been happening for the last month or two. The past few weekends it's been a constant high pitched noise that has gone on for a couple of hours and then stopped. I assumed it was some kind of security feature, but last night I heard the noise and it then continued throughout the night and it's kind of making the noise and then going silent and making the noise and going silent and it's still happening now. When I woke up in the night I thought I had tinnitus.

I don't think it's one of those anti-youth alarms, because my 60+ yr old mum can hear it.
