Very good point, I think it was poorly worded too. Oh well, suppose we'll have to see haha. Hopefully just one lost mark in this case
This is a good point, unfortunately I doubt the examiners would agree.

3. What was the Q5b) i dont remember
4. State two assumptions, lung capacity question
5. I suggested they increased the fat content, rather than lowering the stated amount. Do you think I'll lose a mark for that? Now I think about it that was a stupid suggestion, can't believe I said that.

Lose one mark probably if you stated it was outside confidence interval

I'm pretty confident about this test I thought it went quite well. My answers are:

1a) More representative, less chance of bias
1b) it's random, unlikely to have interview bias

2) 5.614>4.605 so reject H0

3a) Want to check correlation not linear ability
3b) 0.75
3c) 0.75>0.7143 so reject H0
3D) 0.65<0.6694 so accept H0
3e) positively correlation but non-linear

4a) 0.7794
4b) X-N(760, 302.25)
4c) 0.0107

5a) 1.954>1.6449 so reject H0
5b) CLT, means approx normal, bar sample = var population
5c) 12.7

6a) 4.1<5.991 so binomial suitable
6b) r= 26.78, s=16.07
6c) 14.65>11.345 so poison not suitable

7a) [19.15,19.85]
7b) reduce 20% value as outside interval
7c) n=44
For 7b I'm pretty sure you have to say ABOVE interval, im sure ive seen it on a mark scheme before, it specifically said do not allow just outside interval, what was the question for 4a because I don't think i got that but everyone else did

Yeah, 'above', that's what I'd seen before too
9. Can someone tell me how many marks was 4a, what marks will i get for getting 27 on the last question????

I did say it was outside the interval. Oh well.

Probability that diffence in weight between 2 eggs is >2g

My answers - I thought t was fairly standard

1a) More representative, individual strata estimates availiable
1b) random process, no interviewer bias

2) 5.61 and I think you rejected

3a) When the data isn't bivariate noral
b) 0.75 and I think you rejected
You accepted the pmcc question
e) You HAD TO say about ranks - days where sales of ice cream ranked highly, ranked highly for sunglasses

4a) 0.7794
b) 760,302.25
c) 0.0107

5a) 1.95 and you rejected
b) Var of sample = var of population. Samples are independent of each other. CANT MENTION CLT - as its not an assumption, it's a thorem
c) tricky - 12.7

6a) Test statistic was 4.1 and you accepted
b) r= 26.78 s= 16.07
c) Test statistic was 14.65 you reject

7a) 19.15%,19.85%
b) Paul shoud tell them to lover stated weight
c) n=44

Who agrees?

13. How many marks was the first positive correlation question ? I know it was 3 marks to calculate 0.75, was it 2 marks to test whether it was +ve or not? I think i mis-read the value from the table and accepted it when it should have been rejected.

Hi i got somehting like 0.6103 for that what did you get???
15. What was the comment on the single meN test part b? Did they ask what assumtions you made?
I ****ing missed it out since i didnt see it, another mark gone lol.

16. Anyone remember how many marks 6a was? The binomial test

State two assumptions, lung capacity question
**** i missed it out, didnt read it, great.

18. I don't suppose anyone can remember the exact values for question 2 contingency tables, I somehow got a test statistic of 4.6 but no idea where I went wrong! Thanks
19. Easy or hard paper?
I think it was easier then last year, but it wasnt easy. Medium id say, around 69 for A* and 55 for a B?

Oi was 12, 29, 9 and then second row was 15, 23, 22. Used my graphic calc to check it so have the values still.
