I have chosen to take sociology for my A levels but someone told me that ucas points may not be awarded for this? And would physiology look better on my application maybe?

All A levels carry the same points. I suggest you familiarise yourself with the Ucas website to make sure you aren't listening to people who know nothing of the process. Whether physiology would be better or worse depends on what you are applying for. It's a very narrow subject. (Do you actually mean psychology? If so, there's nothing to choose between that and sociology,)

Hi I take both Psychology and Sociology at A2. If you have any questions about the subjects in particular I'd be happy to answer them

I have a friend doing the exact same course as you in Psych. She's from somewhere near Lincoln, I think?

    I'm on AQA for both!
Socio - Crime and deviance, Mass Media.
Psych - Schizophrenia, Addiction, RM, Perception, Aggression and Sleep cycles.

AQA Psych is so hard, I tried at AS and ended up with an E (so I had to retake the year at a different college)... How are you finding Crime?

... how's UCAS been treating you? (assuming you're applying to uni of course)

It is. I had barely scraped a D for last year. But this year is essay based, and sociology has been training me well.
It's good! We learned everything before christmas, and are now studying Media. Though it's only a topic and a half away from finishing everything. We should be done by the first week back.

I'm done! How's it behaving for you?

Sociology is awesome I got ABC last year too, so a massive improvement. I have no idea how far in we are :/ We've finished Beliefs though!

Yeah I'm done too, my firm is Cardiff for Journalism, Media & Sociology (It was different but I emailed them last week to change it). What course/uni are you doing?

Well, C&D is huge, but you also have Theory and Methods and Research methods in context to do. They're big, in themselves. Some days you will have to teach yourself a lot of stuff. But we got it done earlier, since it's worth more.

Oh wow I am going to Bishop Grosseteste University (Lincoln) to study Psychology and Counselling. What did you like the most? And I looked at TSD, but gave up because of distance.

Argh don't talk about T&M! Ooooh nice, what kind of job do you want to do? Haha distance is exactly the reason I chose Cardiff - I live in Warwickshire. I loved the look of the buildings and the course itself is nothing short of amazing - it opens up so many jobs for me and the modules are so interesting! What about you?
