Hmm it is produced by the titration of sodium thiosulphate (S2O3 2-) with iodine. AFAIK. No ideas for naming though :s-smilie:

did you know there are chemical molecules called munchnones. heeheehee. and there is a gas called arsine (sniggers) which is removed by a copper catalyst in gas purification.

There's also a "corpsase" which is found in rotting corpses, no less. And a couple hundred others that I can't think of.
