Why might someone try to make you jealous after rejecting you? Watch

Why would someone try to make you as the rejected person feel jealous? Especially when you are supposed to be friends?

More specifically I'm talking about a guy hooking up with girls in front of me and me having to grin and bare it but then him getting mad even to the point of storming off if a guy as so much looks my way (not to boast, but I do get a lot of male attention. I always brush it off though as it not the kind of attention I want).

Please help me understand this! Thank you?

Sounds a bit stupid. He's basically saying he doesn't want you, but no-one else can have you either. He's a fool.

It's simple: He's a little boy playing little boy games.

He isn't interested but he got an ego boost off of your interest, and in his infantile head he thinks getting with other girls in front of you makes him some "alpha male", likewise he takes your moving on as a bruise to his ego, and a loss of that particular point of overly inflated flattery.

    In a nutshell, this:
Sounds a bit stupid. He's basically saying he doesn't want you, but no-one else can have you either. He's a fool.
