Costs direct vs fixed & indirect vs variable.

So first, I'm not looking for the difference between fixed vs variable, or direct vs indirect.

I'm looking for the difference between fixed costs vs direct costs , and the difference between variable costs vs indirect costs.

Really stumped why I can't find this distinction anywhere, not in my text books or in google - am I being thick ??
