I'm really struggling at the moment to choose between Leeds and Manchester to study geology. Manchester is more specialised in an area I want to focus on (planetary science), and a bit more fieldwork involved. However, Leeds has an option to study abroad, and more flexibility with options, which Manchester doesn't.

I preferred Manchester over Leeds on the open days, but Leeds over Manchester on the interview days (by a tiny bit).

I'd like to hear opinions from anyone who's studied at either of them, especially for Geology but any subject is good.

It doesn't help that my parents are divided on this too!

    Thanks!

    Hi

I've moved this thread to our Geography and Earth Sciences sub-forum, so it's more likely to be seen by students who've studied geology or a similar course.
