I've always been this way, it is how I was raised - my mother is the same. I have had relatives say to me 'who do you think you are, did you forget where you came from?' and to be honest i'm always annoyed at that. I've had people call me stuck up or say to me 'you think you are better than everyone' and I don't.

I go about my daily business and do my own thing and this is how people judge me.

I haven't a clue how to rectifiy this or what I could possibly do to change people's perception of me. By dressing this way I am not aiming to impress anyone or try and send a signal at all - I don't think i'm better than anyone. I just like clothes, I feel uncomfortable wearing tracksuit bottoms out of my bedroom and that's just the way i am.

Define what you mean by dressing well. Not quite getting the context here :')

I am always in a suit and tie, just because I like it and I get a lot of compliments etc; so just do what your comfortable with.

in this day and age people will judge you upon first impression whether you look like a god or tramp

so may as well make a decent first impression unless you dont really care either way

    Completely up to you.

You don't owe anyone an explanation for how you want to dress.

So how smartly do you dress? Do you make a big effort every time you leave the house?

    Tell them to piss off

I personally quite like the idea of dressing stylishly and fashionably, and as soon as I am free from the clutches of my uptight parents, I will dress that way and idgaf

What you wear and how you dress is an expression of the person you are, of your individuality. Express yourself!

When I say I dress well, i don't mean I wear a suit or anything. I'm just saying I go out in designer gear and never have anything else on.

For example, I might wear a big heavy coat alongside a shirt and luxury shoes to a 9am class. I never go out in anything less.

Know the feeling. Im a keen cyclist and often wear all that lycra crap. I cant help but feel a bit of a tit but it does serve a function. That function being to reduce drag. Also other clothes blow about and can get caught in the chain etc. Fortunately for me this is a solitary activity so there is nobody around to give me any grief.

Perhaps if you were to buy a fake gun and holster it may deter people from talkin to you like your an arrogant prick which you aint.

It only matters what is underneath the clothes imo.
