depends how young the youngest person in the relationship is? Do tell more!
It depends on the ages of the two people. 13 years is too much of a gap in my opinion between a 17 year old and a 30 year old, for example. However between a 40 year old and a 53 year old, it's not so bad.

She is either 18 or 19, judging from her username.

I would say yes though it depends on a lot of things. maturity, age, goals and intents in your life, your social life, etc. Age is NOT just a number. Differences are vast between some people and age groups.
I think it just depends on age. Obviously a 5 year old going out with an 18 year old is unacceptable.. But as you get older, age gaps seem to matter less it seems.

I did wonder whether the OP was asking for herself?
To echo what I said to someone a few weeks ago....

Thats too a big gap in my opinion!

The older partner is a lot older than the other and has a lot more life experience. I personally think that is too big a gap because I feel that 2 people with that big a gap want different things in life. They've experienced things the other hasn't yet and I have a feeling that the younger person might end up being hurt. However, it's not unheard of. Many people (especially your parents) will find it weird and will try to put you off. Just make sure you have a lot of support and don't be afraid to get out of the relationship if you want a different experience.

I reckon that past about 20 - 22, about 7 years is probably the largest age gap I would consider to be acceptable.

H&R's very own super sleuth.

Personally, I think 13 years is too big. Whilst he was drinking white lightening in the park, you were drinking cartoned milk in preschool.

My boyfriend is 9 years older than me, and that works out just fine for me. I think it depends on the person. I never liked any boys my age because of the immaturity and fascination with sex, so it was ideal for me to find someone older. However, I am at my limit. More than 10 years is too much of a difference for me. But if you are with someone 13 years older and you are happy, then that is your decision and people shouldn't tell you that that is wrong. It's only really your opinion that matters.
One of my ex mates went out with a 32 year old when she was 15/16 - ewwwww x

yes, I'd agree that's a bit creepy with her on the wrong side of the legal age n'all :p:
seriously is pushing it much to far dont even consider the idea 16 to 32 no no!! :p:
I don't think it's too bad as long as both are over 18.
My best friend is 23 and her boyfriend has just turned 60.....now THAT is a big age gap - but they both make each other incredibly happy.

Right...i think you may have slightly misunderstood.
I think for a teenager 13 years is too much, but if you're happy and its legal, I don't see the problem. Just be careful.
