    Hi,
I am from Portugal, living in the UK since Sep 2013 and I'm applying for student finance as a UK student (course starting in Sep 2016).
When I arrived, I was living with a friend (from the UK) for 3 months and did some work (as a freelancer) for a project in Portsmouth University to sustain myself while looking for job. So, when it comes to prove my 3-year residency in the UK, I have evidence only from late October (opening of bank account and P45 from the Uni, leaving date: late November 2013).
Do you have any suggestions on how I could show that I have been in the UK for the 36 months?

    Many thanks!
    Ines

Do you have any record of how you travelled to the UK? Ferry or coach tickets in Sept 2013 (or the email receipts/confirmation) might be sufficient to show you entered the country then even if you didn't have employment at that point.

I'm afraid I cleaned up all my inboxes in the meantime... Can't find any records.
