Don't go to UCL unless you are actually interested in Eastern Europe / Russia.

Hi, I can't speak for UCL but the guys I know there seem happy with their courses, some of them think that the student life in the social sciences department is a bit limited but that might just be them. I'm doing PPE at King's, it's a really great course and the other students are very interesting people to be around. We have a really good PPE Society which organises speakers and socials which helps get around the London problem of not feeling part of a student body. Most of the people doing other courses seem to regard PPE as a very sociable course, and there is loads on offer in the rest of the college as well. In terms of the academic side of things I think Politics and Philosophy are very strong whereas Economics slightly less so. However, I am only in the first year so I think over the next two years the economics will get harder and more interesting.
