I would really appreciate your help in this difficult situation that I am currently through. To understand my current position I will begin explaining that I am an EU Citizen, my parents and sisters also; so from that point of view I am 100% European.
However, I was not a residence within the EU 3 years prior the start of my course; despite this, my application still went forward and was approved (Started uni in 2014).
I am now almost at the end of my 2nd year and I recently received a letter from SFE saying that they have revised my status and, due to lack of information, they decided that I am not further eligible for the tuition fee loan.
Doing some research I have found that Student Finance Scotland have the following statement:
"If you are claiming support as the family member of an EU national, you don't have to meet thesecond condition above [The one of been ordinarily resident in the EU, the EU overseas territories, elsewhere in theEEA or Switzerland for the three years prior the start of uni]...However, the person you are the family member of does."
Based on this, is there any similar rule that also accounts for Student Finance England? If yes, do you know how could I make use of it?
If not, do you have any other suggestion to help getting this tuition loan?
I extremely appreciate your time and help!
