Edinburgh typical offers lowered for 2017

If you're considering applying for 2017 entry it's good news. According to their website the typical offer for many humanities courses has gone down a grade for English students and some points for the IB.

For the last few years courses like Psychology, Philosophy etc. were AAA and are now AAB, and Theology, Linguistics and Religious Studies courses have gone from AAB to ABB.

I wonder what the reason is for this grade change.

However, other courses have increased their typical offers. English lit is now A*A*A and Law is A*AA.

Subjects that have low offer rates English, Law etc have gone up to try and reduce the number of applicants those with high offer rates and less applicants per place have gone down to encourage more applicants

Grade economics in practice
