i enjoy this job a lot more but i think now i've had a taste of 'that' life / lifestyle, it's hard to accept going back to leading an 'average' graduate living standard. besides i don't work long enough in a day.. i get bored when i go home, in banking.. i never go home

i think sadly its due to my inherit ego more than anything
Spilled my drink over this one lol

Do you see yourself doing banking for a while and then transitioning into a more 'chill' role like this? If so, why?

What are 5 key things you've learned from this experience?

Are there any attractive coworkers (of the female persuasion) around?

it's true, i was saying to my collegaues that they work half days.. i get in at 10 and leave at around 6/6:30 and i'm there like damn that was quick (maybe because the job is about 100x more enjoyable) and the days go by in a flash.. i'm always out and about, speaking to people, gathering intel, attending dinners/conferences and what not to get scoups and gossip into what's going on to put into stories.

yeah, i think it's between the all too known PExit bath vs journalism for me. ideally i would do journalism from the get go, but money is obviously a concern for us prestige over everything types, where we want our egos to be stroked (by showing the world how much money we can make).

    key takeaways:

    - relationships are everything
    - people are willing to give more than you might think
    - mp's act like children
    - you can get free lunch pretty easily round here if you're confident enough to ask
    - learnt a **** tonne about british politics

well for my current publication there's only 5 of us based in the palace, so no.. although i've seen some pretty girls about here and there. some who work for MPs

in portcullis house? it's open for everyone, they have reserved sections for meetings or what not.. but anyone who works there can openly interact with MPs.. nice food & affordable, it's a very open area
