Hi so I'm taking Norethisterone to delay my period as I'm due on this friday.

Going away this friday, does anyone know if I can take the morning after pill on Saturday even though I would have been on Norethisterone from today-fri?
Will be using a condom but want to be on the safe side just incase.

    thanks guys x

It's talk to your pharmacist time.

Both are progesterone. The Norethisterone is a much lower dose and probably not enough to work as a contraceptive by delaying ovulation (how the progesterone-only / morning after pill works) so it's unlikely to be a problem taking both if necessary.

However the fact that you want to delay your period / it's due on Friday strongly suggests that you won't be fertile anyway then - you ovulated about 11 days ago.

Thanks for that quick response I was just wondering if its okay to take the morning after pill even though the days before I would have been taking norethisterone- I'm not taking norethisterone as a contraceptive, just using it to delay my bleed hence the need for a contraception (morning after pill).
