I've had offers from all of my choices but only two are standing out to me, Newcastle and York. I live fairly close to Newcastle and there are several good reasons as to why Newcastle would be the best choice but there are also several reasons as to why Newcastle is the wrong choice, However York seems to meet all of the points on what I'd like and benefit from in a university. I loved York when I visited it and it just felt right, I don't remember how I felt at Newcastle as it was the beginning of the summer when I visited but I don't remember feeling as positive. Is it wrong to decide what university to go to based on a gut feeling, when logic contradicts that? How am I supposed to decide?

Sounds to me you prefer Newcastle? Are the courses exactly the same? Or are there course modules you prefer at one uni?

I prefer York it's a better location, better support and just easier all round but Newcastle is local and has other benefits, I'd be doing combined honours at Newcastle and Politics and Philosophy at York, I loved York when I visited but I'm not sure about Newcastle there are practical reasons for Newcastle being better but my gut is saying York and I don't know what to do.

Sounds to me like you are having doubts about going away or funding. Most people go away but only you can make that decision. York really isn't that far but the decision is yours and no one can help you. You could try visiting both before deciding
