For English Lit I'm studying The Bloody Chamber, A Streetcar Named Desire, Paradise Lost and The Tempest. I got my mock result today and I got an E. I'm really disappointed, at GCSE I got an A and I've been working really hard especially in English because I wan't an A at A Level. Does anybody have any tips??

You can revise a million and one quotes but if your structure isn't right then, unfortunately you will not get the marks.

I would suggest you speak to your teacher about the mock.

Make the assessment grid/criteria and mark scheme your best friend. It helps in knowing what you are getting marked for.

And just be sure to keep practicing your essay techniques.

I got a U in my Philosophy mock and ended up with a B... So, just keep practising - you'll get there!

Can't help you with English but this time last year I got a U on a Further Maths mock, and I ended up with an A grade ☺️ so don't give up! I'd ask if you could resit the exam/rewrite some of your answers and get them remarked if I were you? That way it's actually a learning experience, as opposed to just hiding the paper somewhere and forgetting about it lol. Good luck x

I wrote 3 essays every week and harassed my teacher. Got an a at the end.
