    Hi there,

We have lots of information on our website about preparing for an interview: https://www.hud.ac.uk/undergraduate/...andportfolios/

There is absolutely nothing to worry about - however if you do have any specific questions then you can always contact us directly.

    Good luck!

Just wondering if you're allowed to change the chosen degree course you wanted to go onto?

    Hi Binary1607

Each University may have different ways or rules to allow students to change their chosen degree, so it’s probably best to speak directly with the University who you have applied to or been made an offer by.

You may be able to change your course at the University of Huddersfield – you can email us at [email protected] to find out more about how this works.

Have you applied just to the University of Huddersfield? Where are you with your offers at the moment?

Ive had all my universities reply and was wondering say if I wanted to do chemical engineering but on the day I said cellular and molecular biology, could I do chemical engineering instead as long as I met the requirements? This is through the science extended degree, so if I put biology on my interview but want to do chemical engineering for example am I allowed to change?

    Binary1607,

We are not sure how it works at other universities, but here at the University of Huddersfield you can choose to change your science subject specialism whilst you are studying the Science Extended Degree leading to a BSc(Hons) Degree, as we understand that your interests may change.

If you find you are interested in taking the Chemical Engineering BEng(Hons) course for instance, then just to let you know that the pass mark for the Foundation module and overall pass rate will be higher. You can read more about it on the course finder - https://courses.hud.ac.uk/2018-19/fu...sc-hons-degree

Do you have any more questions about the Science Extended Degree or studying at Huddersfield?

We wish you luck with your interview.

    Susanne UOH
