    Hi,
I have had three interviews now and now and I haven't been close to securing the job, (shortlisted after lesson etc). The feedback I get is usually positive, nothing majorly wrong etc. I'm secondary, but the competition seems so fierce at the moment. I'm wondering, how many interviews did you have before getting the job? I'm worried that I will have to do my NQT year on supply.

Which subject? Three isn't many. I know people who had ten. It's still early days too. Jobs don't dry up until May really.

I can't compare really because I was a bit all over the place with interviews and backed out of a lot.

That's good and bad at the same time. There's lots of English jobs but they are quite competitive. Don't worry though. Like I said I've known loads to have 5+ interviews.

I know! Apparently the uni I'm at, schools ring asking for NQTs, however that's slightly concerning because I don't know where I'll end up. I don't think I can face another interview for a while...

I completed PGCE last and started a job for my NQT but things just did not work out, I did one term and now I am looking for NQT again but I don't even know where to start. It seems like schools just take those who are in placement with them and most jobs are not even advertised. How does one get a NQT job?

Yep the majority of trainees who have jobs are in placement schools apart from maybe one or two. Just apply and explain your situation.
Everything is so worrying about this course!
