I've just accepted my place to do Vis Com at the college of art and I can't decide on accommodation! There's only 2 choices and the prices are pretty similar but Liberty Park is 20 min away instead of 5, but it does also have an en suite where Carlton Hill doesn't! I was just wondering if anyone knows which one is better for socialising and going out? Is Liberty Park a bit out the way and unsociable? x

Hi sorry I can't be that much help as i have never visited but from what I have gathered by researching CH seems far more chilled and friendly. Apparently LP is much stricter especially about things like blue tack etc. Someone online said that LP felt a bit like a prison. Althought that's probably a really unfair description by someone who had a bad experiance there. CH is cheaper although I'm not sure about added energy bills. Would be nice if CH had an ensuite but I'm not that fussed as the general area seems nicer (from research).
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
I'm going to Carlton Hill and am doing art foundation at LCA x

Oh and also you do have more choices just those are the ones the art college suggests. Mill Street looks really good, meant to be sociable, free gym, cool area just a bit more of a walk.

Hi there,I chose liberty park in thed - the ensuite bathroom swayed me in the end and the fact that it seemed like liberty park was bigger?! It was a really close call though - which did you go for?
