    Can someone help me.
Ive just found out that one of my units in btec business is capped at a pass. Does this mean that the highest grade I can get is a Merit? Even if I get Distinction Stars in every other Unit in the 2 year course, or is there a way I can still get at least a distinction?

no it mean's the best you can get in that unit is a pass if you failed it last year or something that will be why.

You are only capped in the one unit
If you gormt 17 Distinctions + the 1 Pass youd come out with D*D*D* assuming you do the BTEC Extended Diploma

Also you cant get a D* frade for an individual unit, it doesnt work like that
