Medicine at st andrews watch

    • Thread Starter

Hello, on the description for the A100 course on the st andrews uni site there was written this: "BSc (Hons) Medicine (3 years) at St Andrews leading to MB ChB/MBBS (3 years) at Partner Medical School (Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester or Barts)". Does this mean that the first three years of the course are spent at st andrews and the latter three are spent at another uni? And aren't medicine courses usually 5 years?

    Yes and yes.

You leave St Andrews with a BSc, hence the extra year. Like intercalation at other unis.
