Hello, I am currently studying in my second year, and am supposed to be choosing whether to write a dissertation next year or undertake a major project.

Could someone please explain to me what these are and what the advantages are for each. We weren't explained exactly why we would be interested to undertake any.

From what I've understood the major project is a year long, 10,000 words dissertation (30 credits), while dissertation is 5,000 words and is only 15 credits for one semester. I am also aware that we can present these to our future employees, but am unsure. Could someone please clarify, THANK YOU!

    Hello there

If you haven't done so already I do recommend you contact your personal tutor who will be able to clarify the differences between the project and dissertation modules and what the advantages are for both. If your personal tutor is not available at this time please go to your Registry Office to find out when your tutor will be in University next so you can set up a meeting with them.

    Best wishes
