What has been your worst experience on either a tube / bus / train / escalator / lift?

Bus was very very packed, nearly every seat had been taken on both decks. I walk up to the top deck and stack on the last step and my face hits the floor and the whole bus goes silent and everyone stares... I then try to pretend like nothing has happened and walk along the top deck and see a seat free at the back of the bus, Im about to sit down and the bus brakes and I smash my face once again onto the back window of the bus

I really don't have any major public transport catastrophe stories but I have come incredibly close to be flung down the stairs in a double decker bus multiple times
