Ah, same with me! we have security guards patrolling the perimeter because the locals used to set off fireworks and throw stones and start fights with the older years (mainly boys) a couple years back! doesn't happen anymore though... (used to be kinda entertaining though)

I find that in real life, older people are much more friendly to me. However anyone my age is extremly rude, and a neighbouring state school has a very big reputation of violence, they've broken into the school, stolen vehicles etc. They are not exactly friendly to us at all, which is a shame really.
(I go to private school which has a 'posh' reputation)

Do you think you would've got the same grades at a local comp?

Can't tell if you're suggesting the school is full of them, in which case I would say no more than any other school
    How would you know?

Because those who are just made to do well can get shitloads of A*s even with the fewest resources.
Personally no, as I'm easily distracted and found the school a good place to focus, but my sister is a compy and she is doing much better than I was in year 10, so it depends on the person I guess

Fair enough. Is it strange being at a private school with two sisters in state schools?

So would you say your grades are a true indicator of your ability?

A little bit, I end up ringing their school kicking off a lot as they don't offer them the best options sometimes x

unfortunately, I sometimes feel like I'm in the year below when I'm in class (especially with maths, I haven't learnt anything new for weeks and I basically teach my table)
