I put that yes - although you would need 2HCl to balance. I'm talking about the question after this where it was like define disproportionation and hence say whether this is or isn't. It isn't is it?
IT wsnt disproportionation , i defined it properly , but then stupidly went on to say it was disproportionation.

It was restricted rotation around the N=N bond right for why it exists as geometric isomers?

or maybe it was disproprtionation??????? Cuz copper went from +2 and 0 on the left to +1 on the right

for the polychromic glasses i said uv light causes agcl to decompose to form silver atoms which darkens the lenses. is that completely wrong or any marks? I also stated the agcl ionic half equation

It was defiantly disproportionation because similtaneous oxidation and reduction occured.

For it to be dispropportionation the element being oxidised and reduced has to come from the same compound.. the reaction was essentially the reverse of disproportionation (I think it's called comproportionation but it's not on our spec afaik)

In a past paper there was a similar reaction and you had to explain why is was reverse disproportionation (comproportionation) not disproportionation

cobalt , what did you put for the two ions at then end? and also for the difference between the low resolution nmr , i put differnet chemical shifts ,hhowever coming out of the exam i realised it was the intensity of the peaks you were meant to say . Do you still think id get the marlk for doing chemical shifts?
I protonated both amine and Deprotonated COOH both but I really am not sure
I think it should be fine
    (Original post by nishofficial)
I said different heights of the peaks is that wrong?
    That's what I said

what was the equation for CuCl2 with HCl and Cu(s) ?
    CuCl2 + 2HCl + Cu =>2[ CuCl4] - + 2H+

I got 6 isomers for the MCQ about the di nitro methyl benzene
    I did too
    (Original post by DesignPredator)
I just said that racemic mixture could be formed with other optical isomer which could have harmful effects. To solve this find a process which is stereospecific.

How do you do the very last question? Was the anion and cation meant to be bonded together?

    I drew them seperately:
I drew the zwitterion (cation) of the amino acid however I protonated the COO- to make it COOH. So it was something like NH3+blablablaCOOH

I then drew the anion, it was something like: blablablablaCOO-

How many marks would I get for that?
