    Hi guys,
So i'm in a bit of a predicament here. In January I lost my nan abruptly to lung cancer and ever since my sixth form life has been a massive burden to me, even though i'm only in year 12. It started as just not being able to get out of bed in the morning to having more frequent panic attacks and not meeting deadlines. So I went to my Gp and I was diagnosed with reactive depression. However, because of my terrible attendance and failure to meet the deadlines, my sixth form already want to kick me out despite having just lost my nan and having depression as very legitimate reasons, I spent some time trying to fix my academic year, dropped one of my subjects to cope with the workload but still there has been no improvement in over two months. At the moment i'm considering leaving and starting a college in September, until then getting a small job so that i'm not just being a free loader to my mom. But i'm afraid that if I leave now, will I be able to get a college place with my track record? Will I be able to get a job and keep it up with my depression? It's such a difficult decision to make and I don't want to have just wasted my first year in sixth form with nothing to show for it but at the same time i'm just so miserable there now, most of the time I have to drag myself from my bed just to get there and I have no motivation to work anymore. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea what to do anymore..

I already asked if I could leave and return to my sixth form in September and they refused, otherwise I would have snapped up the offer
