Oh dear. Looks like he did an 'Anne of Green Gables' on you -- I'd demand a refund AND a fix.

For that price i would hope they would at least be able to fix it for you especially leaving roots, sounds like a very unprofessional service.

Maybe you should wait a while longer. You could complain to their management?

Have you thought about using this?

You are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

They must perform the service with reasonable skill and care. (s49)
If you are unhappy then you give them the opportunity to put it right within a reasonable time (s55). Its a bit ambiguous but you cna also ask for a price reduction up to a full refund and that should be paid within 14 days of agreeing a refund will be made (s56).

keep the photos you cna always sue them in small claims later for the cost of setting it right soemwhere else.

hairdressers are unlikely to know what the law is, so they may try and fob you off. for £150 I'd expect a very good job. say you have talked to trading standards and CAB and they both told you the same i.e what your rights are under the Consumer Rights Act. It should be enough if you have to call on it.

Because I'm sick in the head and you don't know half of it. I'm the type of person to castrate you, hold the goods in my hand, and laugh at it.

I tried to resist, but I couldn't. I put a spoiler and told you not to open it. You broke the rules. You're as much a rule breaker as me.
