    Depends what it is, I think my ex had what might be called a mental illness, depression and anxiety are mental illness too.

    I wouldn't rule it out completely, and it depends what they have, how badly it affects them and whether I could handle it. I have depression myself, so someone more stable is ideal for me tbh to balance things out.

    Yes. Depends on the type of mental illness though e.g. depression, anxiety etc is fine but not sure I can handle severe mental illnesses but would try nonetheless.

    if we could have a healthy relationship then yes, if we couldn't then no

    so things like dependency, rages, inability to communicate etc would probably make it a no
