I'm doing my GCSE's at the moment and although many people do better in their controlled assessments giving them a little bit of a leeway in the exams, I'm the complete opposite.

I'm better in exams but not the best I think it would be possible for me to scrape an A* in SOME exams.

How can I ensure myself and get secure A* in the exams?

E.g. For English lit my C/A is at a Bc (25%) but I really want an A*. Would I be able to get an A* overall if one exam was an A*(35%) in one exam and a high A (40%) in the other?...

I recon you would need an A* in both exams to have a chance at one overall

My teacher said 9 times out of 10 the grade you get in the English exam determines your grade overall, but yeah I think you would need A* in both exams.
