i used to use those japanese black ink beige colour pens, but i felt too paranoid about it not being accepted (even though it was) so i switched to Biro, handwriting is awful in them but im used to it now

    I like Papermate.
I bought a set of Tul pens for like $8, and the black one has dried up after only a few uses. Don't buy Tul. But Papermate is really good.

Why are gel pens banned? use whichever one you are comfy with. My hw is awful so i used to use ink, which looks much better, but is slower. Its more legible though.

I currently use the pilot frixion pens but I cannot use these in the exams because they are heat sensitive. Could anyone recommend any similar pens? I struggle using biros because my writing goes quite patchy and there ends up being white bits in my writing. I am not sure why because I press reasonably hard when I write. Anyway, any help would be much appreciated!

Just buy a good pen. That doesn't mean biro. Parker and Sheaffer and such make ballpoints too, and you can snap them on ebay for <£10.

    Try a fountain pen.

Takes a bit of getting used to but after that you just glide across the paper.

Get one of these and you will never look back.

    Really.

    Is this an official rule?

    Why not?
