hey everyone - I'm a Scottish student who has applied for IR and I'm sooo nervous 😓 Sent off my application early November and still no word. I got 6As in my highers but I feel like they look for a lot more than good grades. Just wondering if anyone has heard when that department starts sending out offers and exactly how competitive it is to get a place?



Hey fellow Scottish IR applicant!
My school has told me to not expect anything back for a couple of months yet but that still doesn't stop me checking every day!
Such a competitive course, especially for Scottish students as the government has capped the number of places!

AS predicted: AAA
Supra-Curricular: Access to Bristol Politics, Talks with John Bercow, EPQ on legacy of Troubles in Ireland, Work experience in Environment Agency Policy Making (TBC), Current Affairs Interests, Worldwise Quiz, French Exchange, Student Parliament

You have hope :smile: seriously, because you are RUK it won't be as insane as the Scottish/EU applicants so you definitely have a chance!

Thanks, so stressful as i changed 6th form a term in so it's catching up whilst aiming to get top grades so doing all the extra work...aargh

Hahaha we've all been there :tongue: and now we have to make our offers :/

I am sure that you can do it :yep: have faith and work hard and you could be chatting in next year's thread as an applicant/ offer holder!

Hi! I applied August 28th for English, Spanish, & Italian & got my offer November 17 (and have accepted!!) I'm from Tennessee, USA.
