We award every student a gift year in-case they need to repeat one so will be be able to apply for full funding.

I'm in a slightly different position but it still concerns repeating the same level. I am currently studying HNC Business P/T and have received SFE loan for the fees. I will be finished in June but I am now considering a change of direction into Law. I'd like to start the FdA Law and Practice in September which is a 2 year programme at level 4 and 5. If I complete my HNC I will have a level 4 qualification. Will this mean I can't get funding for the FdA? Would I be better off withdrawing from my HNC and wasting the modules I've already completed in order to qualify for funding or is the level 4 aspect of the FdA sufficiently different and necessary enough to qualify for funding?
