    Use CodeAcademy to get the basic, then move onto CodeWars.

    Well OP Java is what I've been making simple programs in, worked with a database and currently creating a quizgame thingy in, started learning it last year at the start of AS.



    this book helps loads,

    Used Stack Overflow when stuck on specific errors. Other than that I just followed YouTube tutorials, as in writing as the guy was speaking and programming so that's how I got mah very basic knowledge of Java

    Youtube tutorials for me is usually a bit boring. Stack overflow is amazing, always help me a lot when stucked on errors. Have you tried any meetups for beginners?
