Hi, i'm currently working on a psychology essay that has no specific title, instead we simply have to talk about the application of a specific psychology sub-discipline (I chose educational) which incorporates this long random list of objectives such as talking about methodologies etc.

I don't have a problem with the list though, I've made a detailed and specific plan outlining what to put in each paragraph, but when I've actually started on researching for it, it's proving to be difficult to do, I don't know why but I've been at it all day and need some advice on how to go about research in a more systematic, organised way that moves me forward with this assignment, at the moment i'm all over the place finding nothing.

It can sometimes be helpful to find a big systematic review/meta-analysis or summary-type piece and then work through that to find key references for the main studies/approaches/models in an area.
