I would appreciate any advice to help me with a tough decision.
I'm at school and applied for medicine this year. I have been rejected for all my medicine choices except for one which i'm on the waiting list for, so there is a chance I could end up with an offer.
My 5th choice was Biomedical sciences, which i have an unconditional for. The uni also offers a transfer to medicine after 1st year.
Since I'm trying to plan ahead, if i did end up not getting a medicine offer, would it be better to take a gap year and try again (possibly see biomed through to the end) or take the biomed offer now and hope to do the transfer to medicine (and if not just see it through and do a career related to that) ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks in advance.
yea i think you can transfer if you do really well, if you're determined to be a doctor i'd try 1 gap year and re-apply with more experience if not go GEM.

Thanks for your advice! After considering this and other people's advice, I'm going to take the gap year if I don't get in on the waiting list
