I have received an unconditionnal offer from UCA Farnham and I'm still waiting for the answer from UAL Camberwell (both foundation course). In case they accept me too I'm not sure which one I want to pick. As I don't live in the UK I haven't visited any of them and I only know what I gathered on the websites.
For Farnham from what I read it would allow me to see every field of creative arts before specializing according to what I prefer. How much time do you spend testing the different areas and what the specialisation looks like ?
For Camberwell I picked the specialist mode in arts with an option in drawing. I read that you would still be introduced to various fields but will focus more on what you picked, is that correct ? In my case (art + drawing option), does anyone has been through it and could tell me how it is/was ?
When I applied to these two courses I was mostly interested in drawing and painting. I am still interested in these but I recently started doing videos and so I would be interested in seeing how it looks like in the art world. I am curious about animation as well, and as I have never done that it could be a good oportunity to try.
On one hand I am worried that by taking the course in Farnham I would spend too much time on things I have no interest in (fashion/deisgn) and wouldn't go deep enough in what I love, but on the other hand I'm afraid that the course in Camberwell wouldn't allow me to try video/animation. What do you think ?
Finally on another note, what are the size of the classes ? Can you reach the teachers easily to get some coaching ? Are the facilities accessible or is it overcrowded ?
I hope someone could help on one aspect or another. Thanks a lot for reading my ramble anyway!
