I've asked this before but didn't really get a thorough answer. Seeing as the new spec change means that year 12s won't be doing the AS papers that year 13 students will do when they re-sit those papers, does that mean the grade boundaries for AS re-sits will rise by a lot? Because surely if the only people taking that exam are year 13s, who have extra knowledge due to studying A2 (which is useful esp if the subject is synoptic like mine; biology, chemistry) and the fact that they're doing it for the 2nd time which makes it easier - means that it's likely the grade boundaries will be crazy high? For example Chem 1 and 2 have ranged for 60-66 for an A in recent years; could it go up to something like 72?

    When I say 72, I mean out of 80 - mind...

It also means that the best students won't be doing it and retards doing A2 may still resist. Some people also will not put the effort in

The best students aren't going to resit, since they have a good UMS already.

We won't know until the day before results day so there's no point in trying to guess these things.

Not guessing, just trying to use logic to come to a valid conclusion.

A conclusion that, quite frankly, means nothing. There's no point in doing this. Just aim high. Aim for 100% and you'll be safe regardless.
