    Hi guys,

Is anybody able to explain to me why a fluorescent light can be used to avoid overheating in a continuous culture of photosynthetic algae?

Also, what does the mark scheme mean by "air bubbles allows algae to get sufficient light"and "sample to check for mass of Chlorella"

    Thanks in advance

Fluorescence lights use gas discharge to produce light rather than a hot filament so it produces less heat.
