Good luck suing your parents

Reply 2

I could so do that if I'm ever skint

Reply 3

Parents should be able to counter-sue their children for being ungrateful brats.

Reply 4

This cannot be remotely serious.

But which sperm enters the egg is random chance, soooooooooooooooooooooo it's not the parents fault. Blame nature. Kid could've been hot af as well. Being hot gets you a lot more attention, which could potentially be unwanted, and lead to stress, which could affect your work, so why don't you sue your parents for making you hot?

Well, the alternative would have been not being born at all. So unless you could convince a judge that being ugly is a fate worse than oblivion I doubt you'd get far.

Reply 7

I don't think you'll find many people who'd rather not exist than be ugly.

No, they wouldnt have been. That's not how reproduction works (someone needs to go back and do biology gcse methinks). If the parent is ugly, then their sperm or eggs will be ugly too.

we all know having children is an act based on a selfish desire

but what happens when this negatively impacts the child, resulting in them being ugly?

studies show attractive people are percieved to be healthier, nicer, less dubious and earn more

being unattractive is a disadvantage in life, so should ugly children be allowed to sue their parents for the cost of making them ugly?

1. What sort of **** is that? why do ppl assume so much? Where is the logic in this cycle of person looks nice---> must be a nice person and healthier This is such balls seriously there's no logic in basing all a persons qualities on looks. Personally i couldn't give a f**k what people look like, if i was hiring someone for a job, i would hire the best people for the job.

2. The only reason ugly and unattractive people are disadvantaged in life is because everyone else in society judges assumes and come to incorrect conclusions about others. It has nothing to do with parents, it's all to do with how society sees them. For example you looks at the person on the left in the picture you posted and came to the conclusion that that person was ugly right? That's sort of thing taken further and developed into ugly ppl are xxxxx are just stereotypical views which are clearly untrue.

of course they dont directly decide to have an ugly child
but they do indirectly

so it is still their fault

if i play russian roulette, it IS my fault that i end up killing myself

Only if they are also allowed to sell you to a travelling freak show in Mongolia because they are embarrassed by you.

Hahaha this is funny but at the same time there is some truth behind it.

The guy on the right looks like me when my iPod camera is facing me and I'm standing in direct sunlight. In fairness to him I bet he looks as great as I do when I get the light right and dip my face at an angle.

no just cause genes expressed may be ugly, there are genes in the genotype that can be "non-ugly" hence why some ugly parents can produce buff offspring.

but yes, it is more likely that their kids will be ugly but not necessarily since there are many other genes within a person, actually I think you need to recap gcse biology cause we learnt phenotype/genotype in year 11, unless you did a different examboard.

Suing my dead dad is going to prove a bit of a challenge. I would rather sue you for causing me distress by refusing to use the shift+I keys together.

His sister or a goat.........God's revenge.

How 'ugly' someone is, is too subjective so sueing won't work in the first place. What some class ugly could be seen as alright by others. Also the fact the process of making a child is random means parents have no control over what happens to their offspring.

This thread just shows that not every "studies" should be taken seriously. What a waste of money funding the so called study, that could had been spent on vital things rather than this trivial study. And ugly? what arrant nonsense.
