# Maths C4 Differentiation weird question watch

1. I need some help with this question, I keep getting different answers. You have to find the gradient at that particular point. Thanks a lot hope you can see it the book says the answer is 24/45. If you could post a pic of your working out it would really help, thanks a lot. I'm gonna post a pic of my working out in a sec
2. Nvm I'm so dumb I've been getting 8/15 for the past hour and it turns out 24/bloody 45 is 8/15 I officially hate edexcel for doing this to me

No worries, it happens to the best of us

I would be slightly concerned however. If it were the other way round (eg 24/45 is simplified to 8/15) then it'd be fine, they've just simplified, but if they are listing 24/45 as the answer and you get 8/15 then you should be getting 24/45 off the bat, unless you did get it and then simplify it but I'm not sure if this is the case here.

You're right :/ I'm not sure if it may be because I multiplied my denominator out instead of using the quotient rule? It's a bit weird. Hang on I'll post my working out
