So Im currently in year 12, and wanting to fill up my summer. I've been looking around for summer schools and programs offered by universities and also independent companies and they all seem to be for people from low socio-economic backgrounds and disadvantaged areas. Im not saying thats a bad thing but I feel like there are WAY TOO MANY programs for them and nowhere near enough ( I havent even found one yet) for people who aren't poor or fit into their ridiculous eligibility requirements. I've tried applying to a few that claim that it is still possible to get a place regardless of background and have been rejected flatout for the reasons mentioned above. I didnt choose for my parents to go to university, so why am I being held back for it?
