    Hi guys,
I've just firmed my unconditional offer for Social Work at Coventry University, and I'm so excited to start the course. I'm only 30 minutes away by train so I'm going to be staying at home for (at least) my first year, and I'm slightly worried about meeting people and making friends, since I won't be staying in halls.
Anyone else in the same situation? Any tips?

Make sure to engage with people on your course, and get involved in events where you can

Fresher's is a good chance to meet lots of people too, and look at joining some of the societies - most will do a taster session, so you can pop along and see what they're like
